In between pursing my career as a sports broadcaster, I had the opportunity to achieve another dream of mine in playing profesional volleyball.

I fell in love with volleyball since I was a little girl and the game has truly been a blessing in my life. I received a full athletic scholarship to Grambling State University, a NCAA Div-I school in Grambling, Louisiana. From 2006-2010, I was a 2x All-SWAC recipient and honors student-athlete.

After my time at Grambling was up and my contract as a news reporter for KTVE had come to en end, I travelled to Italy in hopes of getting selected by a team in Europe. Needless to say, I was pretty bummed when I was cut from tryouts and returned to the U.S. But, as an outside hitter standing at 5'10, I've embraced my role as an underdog in the sport, going up against girls 6'2 and taller at times.. so being resilient and refusing to give up is a MUST!
I was accepted into grad school at Georgia State University and tested out the coaching waters as a graduate assistant coach for two years. I would need plenty of that resiliancy as a month into coaching, I tear my ACL/MCL & meniscus while playing recreationally. Life has a way of coming around full circle as after months of rehab and learning the game from a coaching perspective, the opportunity to play professionally in the Philippines presented itself.

Volleyball has afforded me countless opportunities to better myself including getting a college and graduate level education, travelling the world and learning life long lessons that will forever be useful as I now transition from athlete to broadcaster.

A lifelong goal of mine is to continue to inspire the next generation of volleyball athletes, no matter how short or tall to embrace the game and all it has to offer.
